Part 1 of 3.

On our 3rd day here, we went to an island called Samal Island.
It's a 2 hour drive from Kapalong, Davao to the Water Front.
and an estimate time of 10 minutes to get to the island by boat.

There are several resorts here but we decided to go to Chemas.
Chemas occupies only a small portion of the island but the ambiance is what we come back for.
You can either have a day trip or an overnight stay & rent one of the cottages they have here.

Their style is very Bali-inspired. I didn't take much photos though...

Here's one of the cottages.

As you have probably noticed, there's a lot of trees and plants.
The trees provide more than enough shade from the sun
and the plants just make the place look better (in my own opinion).

My photos do not serve this place any justice.
Unlike most resorts now, they're all so commercialized and full of people.
Chemas is no where near commercialized and were are only about 3 - 5 families during our stay.

The dog!
It only follows the one who cleans the area.

The beach here is really clean. There are no traces of trash anywhere!
The sand is so soft and it's so fun to play with. Hahah.

Oh right, I forgot to mention! There are a lot of hermit crabs.
They're not as big as the one I found below, they are much smaller.
I found this guy walking on the beach, I picked it up in awe.
I never saw a hermit crab this big...

Such shy creatures.
I released it afterwards. :)

We ate lunch here as well. We had barbecued chicken and beef together with some soup.
I wasn't able to take pictures of a lot of things!
Shame on me.
I left out the area where we stayed, the infinity pool, and the upper part of Chemas where you can eat.
The infinity pool is pretty cool, instead of regular chlorine water, they used sea water!
Floating is so much easier that way, the the taste of isn't so pleasant. Haha!
